A Passionate, Connected, and Joyful Relationship is Possible

Online Therapy for Couples in greater Seattle area and all over Washington State

Hello, I’m Katya

I am a Seattle-based Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and sex therapist. I help stressed, overloaded, and desperate couples create joyful and meaningful relationships.

Few talk about it, but even the best relationships struggle sometimes. Illness, job loss, financial burdens, decreased romantic feelings, anxiety, having kids - it's not a question of whether your relationship will face trials, it's a question of when.

Whether you've been together for one year or fifty, ensuring your relationship is prepared for the ups and downs is within your power.

I offer professional insight and practical resources that will inspire you and your partner to keep love and intimacy alive and withstand any setbacks that may show up in the future. You will restore lost love or respect for one another and become a solid team once again, or even for the first time.

What I Do

Sex Therapy for Couples

It's totally normal to run into common obstacles to intimacy like sexual dysfunction, lack of desire, or even just a busy life. Sex therapy can bring hope and transformation to couples who want to create, rekindle or improve their sexual pleasure and connection.

Couples Therapy for Parents

How do you survive and thrive as a couple when your new baby has you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted? Couples therapy for parents can help you create a meaningful and joyful relationship with your partner and new baby.

As your couples therapist, I aim to help you:

  • Shave off months or even years of struggle, isolation, and anguish in your relationship.

  • Create or rekindle sexual intimacy with your partner.

  • Deepen the emotional connection and quality of interactions between you and your partner.

  • Feel like you are finally in a true partnership.

  • Feel that life together can be light - imagine laughing with your partner again!

  • Experience pleasure and connection-filled-sex… in whatever form works for you.

  • Have effective, honest, direct conversations about tough topics. Solve problems instead of going in circles.

  • Feel more relaxed and confident in your bodies.

  • Make choices that move you toward a life that feels aligned with your values.

  • I work through an anti-oppressive framework that is culturally sensitive, feminist, sex positive, HAES focused, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming.

I work with heterosexual and same sex relationships, open relationships and non-monogamy. I am sex worker- and kink-allied. I speak English and Russian.

  • I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to assess whether working with me is a good fit for you and the types of concerns you bring to therapy.

I do not accept insurance. I will provide a statement you may give to your insurance company for reimbursement.

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that was enacted on January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers must notify clients of their rights and protections against “surprise billing.” This Act requires that we notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, if you are uninsured, or if you elect not to use your insurance.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy will cost. Click here for more information.

  • I conduct an evaluation that typically lasts 1-3 sessions. Our first session is usually a 50-minute intake session in which I will ask about the concerns you wish to address in therapy and gather other relevant information about you.

When working with couples, I schedule 80-minute individual sessions after our first intake session, to conduct further individual assessments.

  • I meet with clients for weekly therapy sessions. As we work towards your goals and my schedule permits, we may discuss moving to bi-weekly appointments.

  • All sessions are conducted through a secure video platform. You’ll receive a link in your email before every appointment. This link takes you directly to my virtual waiting room.

  • I waive one missed session each year. All other canceled appointments must be rescheduled for the week before, the week of, or the week after your absence. You will be charged a fee in the full amount of your session if you do not request a new appointment at least 48 hours before the canceled appointment.

  • If you feel that you need to reach me between our scheduled sessions you may do so via email or telephone. I am often not immediately available. While I am in my office, I will not answer the phone when I am with a client. Please leave me a message. I will make every effort to return your email or call within 24 business hours.

  • Through our work together, I will periodically assess and discuss with you whether therapy is helpful and if we are moving toward your goals. I may suggest ending treatment if you report meeting your goals. I usually hold 1-3 terminating sessions to review your next steps and recourses that may be useful to you outside therapy.

  • My office hours are 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST Tuesday through Friday.

Bring trust, love, and devotion back into your relationship
